Work setting: Retail service establishment, Rural area, Gas bar
Supervision: 3-4 people, Retail salespersons and sales clerks, Staff in various areas of responsibility
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a non-smoking environment
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, stand for extended periods, and walk for extended periods
- The candidates should have attention to detail and be able to bend, crouch, and kneel
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate, demonstrate client focus, and have excellent oral and written communication
- The candidates should be organized, display reliability, and be dependable
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assign sales workers to duties, establish work schedules, and supervise and coordinate activities of workers
- The candidates should be able to hire, train, or arrange for the training of staff, and resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
- The candidates should be able to order merchandise, authorize the return of merchandise, and organize and maintain inventory
- The candidates should be able to sell merchandise, prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, and manage cash
- The candidates should be able to prepare daily reports of fuel, oil, and accessory sales
