Salary: $29.00 hourly for 40 hours per week

Location: Brampton, ON
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, willing to travel cross-border, willing to travel for extended periods, willing to travel overnight
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Credentials: AZ class license, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver’s License (Class 3 or D)
Security and safety: Valid passport, criminal record check, driving record check (abstract), drug test, medical exam
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong attention to detail, be capable of handling heavy loads, and able to manage a large workload
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required, physically capable of handling demanding tasks, and comfortable with repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be comfortable with sitting for extended periods and able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills and exhibit excellent oral communication
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility, be organized, and demonstrate reliability
- The candidates should be team players, hardworking, and demonstrate patience
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment, GPS equipment, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
- The candidates should be able to load and unload goods, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, and oversee the condition of the vehicle
- The candidates should be able to inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, perform brake adjustments, and conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- The candidates should be able to perform preventive maintenance, receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and tarp cargo to ensure safety and security
