Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Own tools/equipment: Uniform

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling in a fast-paced environment and able to handle heavy loads as part of their duties
  • The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and have the physical stamina to manage physically demanding tasks
  • The candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods during their shifts and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be client-focused with efficient interpersonal skills and possess excellent oral communication abilities
  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their approach to tasks and responsibilities and show initiative in problem-solving and task completion
  • The candidates should be organized in their work habits and time management and be reliable and able to meet commitments consistently
  • The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages and be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • The candidates should be able to present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit, or debit cards, travelers’ checks, or room billings, and describe menu items, including daily specials, for customers
  • The candidates should be able to enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, advise on menu selections, and clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
  • The candidates should be able to describe and advise on wine selection, greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages
  • The candidates should be able to order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware, serve food and beverages, and take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff
  • The candidates should be able to schedule staff, train staff, assist clients/guests with special needs, and provide customer service
