Salary: $33.00 to $38.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Diagnostics, Brake system, and Truck-trailer repair

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should possess attention to detail

• The candidates should be accurate, punctual, and have a client focus
• The candidates should be dependable, reliable, and work well as a team player

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, confirm findings with the supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace the unit, and discuss work with the supervisor
• The candidates should be able to inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, inspect motor in operation, and review work orders
• The candidates should be able to test automotive systems and components, adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems, and adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
• The candidates should be able to repair or replace mechanical units or components, test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications, estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, and perform scheduled maintenance service

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
