Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of post secondary education in accounting
Experience: Candidates should have extensive experience in auditing and accounting
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be legally entitled to work in Canada
- The candidates should provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and completion of satisfactory credit screening and credit check may be required for some positions
- The candidates should have the ability to travel extensively within and outside of Manitoba by vehicle and air transportation
- The candidates should possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s license and be able to provide their own transportation for ground travel within Manitoba
- The candidates should have the ability to travel for periods up to two weeks at a time, and up to six-to-eight weeks per year
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be enrolled in the intermediate levels of the Canadian CPA program and knowledge of computer-assisted audit software and techniques
- The candidates should have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should have the ability to take initiative and work independently under minimum supervision
- The candidates should have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop respectful and collaborative working relationships with various stakeholders
- The candidates should have experience and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- The candidates should have excellent verbal communication skills and excellent written communication skills
- The candidates should have experience applying and interpreting the tax statutes administered by the division, such as the Retail Sales Tax Act or Health and Post Secondary Tax Levy Act, International Fuel Tax Agreement, and International Registration Plan
