Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Experience: Candidates should have at least 5 years experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment and experience leading on-the-floor equipment improvement initiatives
  • The candidates should have a proven track record of providing detailed daily deficiency reports from the floor to drive process improvements
  • The candidates should be team players with effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • The candidates should possess strong organizational, analytical, and planning abilities paired with practical business acumen
  • The candidates should have strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • The candidates should have knowledge and experience within the Food Industry, as this is critical for the role

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to evaluate current production activities and determine gaps from best practices
  • The candidates should be able to benchmark key equipment operations and identify significant opportunities for improvement
  • The candidates should be able to develop and improve standardized processes related to program and process management and provide project and technical support for operation teams
  • The candidates should be able to investigate practical, cost-effective, and innovative plant improvement solutions and incorporate Six Sigma and other project management tools, methodologies, and principles
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to Kaizen activities and process improvement initiatives and resolve complex problems with limited guidance
  • The candidates should be able to liaise with other internal departments as required to resolve issues
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent time-management skills and work independently while using departmental resources, policies, and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to develop and manage project plans, operations, budgets, and schedules (annual and multi-year) and prepare CERs (Capital Expenditure Requests)
