Position: Accounts payable clerk

Salary: $19.00 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Day
Transportation information: Public transportation is available

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Accounting
Computer and technology knowledge: Accounting software and MS Excel
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and pay attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, should be focused on clients, should be reliable
  • The candidate should be resourceful, should work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to prepare journal entry, manage accounts payable, and prepare bank reconciliations
  • The candidates should be able to invoice clients, perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing and record systems, and perform general office duties
