Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of education in Computer Science and Computer Engineering
Experience: Candidates should have experience leading a medium to large IT team in a complex organization

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience with a broad range of hands-on technology across an enterprise landscape server, database, network, storage, backup & recovery, performance, automation and notification
  • The candidates should have strong knowledge of application development, application stack, DevOps and Agile methodologies, and rapid development utilizing low-code and no-code tools and experience managing and working with consultants
  • The candidates should have an excellent understanding of the difference between critical and non-critical applications and be able to apply enterprise change, incident, and problem management skills within teams that support highly critical business applications
  • The candidates should operate as strategically agile leaders able to anticipate business opportunities and influence enterprise-wide policy planning and initiatives
  • The candidates should have an understanding of complex municipal subject matter and the ability to build influential relationships with Council, external agencies, orders of government, citizens, community organizations, and internal departments and branches
  • The candidates should possess strong political acumen, strategic planning, issue resolution, and decision-making skills and demonstrate service excellence, embrace diversity, and promote inclusiveness
