Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a degree or diploma in communications, journalism
Experience: Candidates should have two or more years experience in a communications role

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to manage tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work with confidential, sensitive information
  • The candidates should have experience working in a healthcare organization

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a combination of education, skills, and experience and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate strong organization, interpersonal, and time management skills and exhibit attention to detail and sound decision-making skills
  • The candidates should have demonstrated relationship-building skills and show proven initiative and motivation

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to support the dynamic communication needs of the project and manage media relations and address issues management
  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement a communications strategy to support the SMART Initiative
  • The candidates should be able to increase awareness of the program among prospective applicants and collaborators, both internal to AHS and external to partner groups and the public
  • The candidates should be able to support the development of a promotional plan to recruit applicants, with assistance from AHS’ Community Engagement and Communications (CE and C) team
  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement communication activities to support the Steering Committee, project team, and advisory group
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with a Senior Communications Advisor from CE and C to develop and implement communication plans
  • The candidates should be able to develop key messages, write briefing notes, and develop speaking notes
  • The candidates should be able to perform any other communications-related tasks required for the SMART Initiative
