Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1), Child Development Worker (ECE Level 2), Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children, lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
  • The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
  • The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
