Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Nunavut are Inuktut, English, and French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of completed Grade 6 of education
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have knowledge of how to properly handle hazardous materials within the school and how to dispose of hazardous material wastes
  • The candidate should have knowledge of proper lifting techniques and is highly sensitive, requiring a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check
  • The candidate should possess skills in proper cleaning techniques and the use of specific cleaners for various surfaces
  • The candidate should be skilled in using cleaning equipment, such as industrial vacuum cleaners and buffers
  • The candidate should have knowledge of the School Crisis Response Manual, the school’s Inuuqatigitsarniq Policy, and the Government of Nunavut Public Service Code of Ethics and Values, with the ability to conduct themselves accordingly and knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job may reasonably be obtained by someone who has possesses equivalent life experience
  • The candidate should have knowledge fluency in more than one of Nunavut’s official languages and knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut, and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment

Benefits:

  • The candidates will get Northern Allowance Range of $11.08 to $13.74 per hour
