Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Air Brakes Endorsement and Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail
- The candidates should be physically capable of meeting demanding requirements
- The candidates should be comfortable with weight handling
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, demonstrate flexibility, and be organized
- The candidates should be reliable and punctual
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, and demonstrate professionalism in customer service
- The candidates should be able to accept payment or invoices for items delivered, receive and relay information to central dispatch, and sell products over established routes
- The candidates should be able to keep a record of items received and delivered, accept and deliver messages and packages for events, conferences, or assemblies, and use maps and other trip planning aids
- The candidates should be able to record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems
