Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform physical work at times, including lifting in excess of 50lbs
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be 23 years of age or older
- The candidates should have an AZ / Class 1 Driver’s License
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a tractor trailer equipped with a multi-speed transmission (Automatic or Manual) safely by adhering to all safety requirements
- The candidates should be able to perform inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of the tractor trailer unit before, during, and after trips, including gauges, lighting and electrical systems, and visual checks of potential water, oil, fuel, and air leaks
- The candidates should be able to connect and disconnect semi-trailer hoses
- The candidates should be able to complete all applicable paperwork and maintain an up-to-date Driver Log throughout the duration of each shift
- The candidates should be able to communicate with Dispatch
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and co-workers in a professional manner
- The candidates should be able to use satellite tracking equipment
- The candidates should be able to observe and comply with rules and regulations of the Ministry of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Act
