Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Transportation of Dangerous Goods and WHMIS Certificate within 1 month of hire
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be willing to travel throughout the Territory, work in adverse weather conditions, and work outside of the headquarters area for extended periods
  • The candidates should demonstrate interpersonal skills and personal responsibility, develop people, think strategically, and show client focus

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience working with various computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel and basic mechanical comprehension
  • The candidates should have experience and understanding of workplace compliance standards, regulations, inspections, investigations, audits, policies, and procedures related to heavy duty and light duty vehicles and equipment in an industrial setting
  • The candidates should have experience in the delivery, assessment, development, and evaluation of training materials and curricula related to heavy duty and light duty vehicles, equipment, and attachments, in both theoretical (classroom) and practical (field) settings
  • The candidates should promote common values and ethics and obtain Standard First Aid certification within 6 months of hire
  • The candidates should obtain TMB Certification on heavy equipment (grader, loader, dump truck, or tractor trailer) within 6 months of hire
  • The candidates should hold a Yukon Class 1 driver’s licence with air endorsement and use personal protective equipment

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assess and demonstrate the operation of heavy-duty and light-duty vehicles, equipment, and associated attachments
  • The candidates should be able to provide training on the operation of these vehicles and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to certify and license operators on heavy-duty and light-duty vehicles and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards for vehicle and equipment operation
  • The candidates should be able to maintain accurate records of training, certification, and licensing activities
