Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience:Â Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Student status: Full-time enrollment, Part-time enrollment, Elementary education and teaching, Early childhood education and teaching, Child development, Speech-language pathology/pathologist, and Occupational therapy/therapist
Area of specialization: Pre-school education
Experience with special needs children: Children with allergies
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1), Child development supervisor (ECE level 3), Child development worker (ECE level 2), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, and Child welfare check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks efficiently and be physically fit to handle demanding work
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their tasks and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking as part of their duties
- The candidates should be able to perform tasks requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling, and possess manual dexterity for precise tasks

- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication, have excellent oral communication abilities, and demonstrate excellent written communication skills

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and engage in storytelling
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
- The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, and guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties, prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
- The candidates should have knowledge of licensing regulations, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
- The candidates should be able to supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
