Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as  College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
Security and safety: Vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should efficiently handle repetitive tasks while demonstrating attention to detail in their work
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a variety of physical movements, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide comprehensive care for infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding, with care and attention, and develop child-care programs supporting their development
  • The candidates should lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafting, fostering creativity and engagement, while also guiding children in proper habits and behaviors
  • The candidates should observe children for signs of learning or behavioral issues, preparing reports for parents or supervisors, and discuss their progress and challenges at staff meetings
  • The candidates should ensure compliance with licensing regulations, attend staff meetings to discuss children’s progress, and establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
  • The candidates should plan and maintain a safe, secure environment promoting children’s health and well-being, including organizing activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours
