Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Computer and technology knowledge:Â Child development worker (ECE level 2), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance and Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle repetitive tasks, perform physically demanding tasks, and combine sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and have strong manual dexterity
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate dependability, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and have excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility, have strong interpersonal awareness, and demonstrate reliability
- The candidates should be a team player and uphold values and ethics
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and maintain daycare equipment
- The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, and guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
- The candidates should be able to establish guidelines for behavior, attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and problems of children, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
- The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, and plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
