Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed College/CEGEP education
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks efficiently and have meticulous attention to detail in their work
- The candidates should be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and comfortable with tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication and demonstrate excellent oral communication abilities for clear expression of ideas
- The candidates should exhibit excellent written communication skills for accurate documentation and be reliable in fulfilling duties and meeting commitments

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to lead activities such as telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to order supplies and equipment, assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, and provide opportunities for children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, maintain daycare equipment, and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
- The candidates should have knowledge of the Day Nurseries Act, licensing regulations, and be able to establish guidelines for behavior
