Salary: $1,550 to $1,650 bi-weekly (To be negotiated) for 35 hours per week

Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Experience with special needs children: Children with behavioral issues
Credentials:Â Child development supervisor (ECE level 3)

Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks and manage physically demanding work
- The candidates should be able to maintain attention to detail and perform tasks involving a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and demonstrate manual dexterity

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assess the children’s development to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs and assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children and maintain daycare equipment
- The candidates should be able to supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children and order supplies and equipment
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts and prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors and discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- The candidates should be able to have knowledge of licensing regulations and establish guidelines for behavior
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children and plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
