Requirements:

Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing and unpredictable situations and be capable of transferring patients and handling equipment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalograph Technologists (CBRET)
- The candidates should demonstrate effective interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, and other staff members
- The candidates should have a demonstrated understanding of a Family Centered Care Service delivery model
- The candidates should preferably have previous experience in clinical neurophysiology in both pediatric and adult settings
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform appropriate tests on patients of all age groups, utilizing various electrode application methods
- The candidates should be able to explain testing procedures to clients, patients, and their families clearly and effectively
- The candidates should be able to observe and document physical changes in patients during testing
- The candidates should be able to prepare results and/or interpret findings collaboratively with physicians and prepare, update, and maintain accurate patient records
- The candidates should be able to ensure proper operation of equipment by performing maintenance, calibration, and cleaning, as well as detecting equipment malfunctions and making minor repairs or reporting major issues
- The candidates should be able to inform physicians of urgent examination results promptly and resolve unusual or complex cases or refer concerns to the appropriate individual for further action
