Salary: $30.00 to $35.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 60 to 84 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Clinton, BC
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Overtime, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, own vehicle, willing to travel, valid driver’s license; public transportation is not available

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Excavation, material handling, rough grading, stockpiling, stripping.
Type of industry experience:
Road construction, surface mining
Type of heavy equipment operated:
Backhoe excavator, loader, Caterpillar (CAT) controls, bulldozer (large or small), loader, front end loader, gravel or dump truck
Credentials: Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, and Ground Disturbance – Level 1 program
Security and safety: Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and safety vest

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, including hot and cold environments, and be able to work in dusty conditions.
  • The candidates should be prepared to operate heavy equipment as required for the job

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to operate heavy equipment, clean and lubricate equipment, refill equipment tanks, and conduct pre-operational checks
  • The candidates should be able to operate two-way radios and other communication equipment, as well as perform minor repairs to equipment
