Salary: $17.40 hourly for 40 hours per week

Location: Saanichton, BC
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Type of crops: Carrots, Sweet Corn, and Sugar Beets

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy loads
• The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks and demonstrate attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel, and lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be flexible and reliable
• The candidates should be a team player and a quick learner

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to clean the crops and hand harvest vegetables
• The candidates should be able to pack fruits and vegetables and plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
• The candidates should be able to perform weeding and clean the work area
• The candidates should be able to harvest crops

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
