Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in collecting, summarizing, analyzing and reporting data and research findings

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide research, analysis, and project support related to social, economic, or public policy, urban affairs, and government services for City divisions
  • The candidates should be able to review and analyze data, external reports, research studies, existing and proposed policies, and provide recommendations for changes and improvements to business processes, training, and service standards
  • The candidates should be able to monitor current trends and issues in social, economic, and public policy areas, including conducting jurisdictional scans and original research on urban Indigenous issues
  • The candidates should be able to track and develop responses to pressing community issues and implement educational strategies to create a receptive environment for change
  • The candidates should be able to liaise with program areas and partners to support collaboration among divisions on projects and initiatives related to Indigenous topics
  • The candidates should be able to prepare background studies, reports, briefing material, and presentations on Indigenous topics, as well as plan and organize related events as needed
