Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Computer Science
Experience: Candidates should have 4 and 7 years of experience working with IT teams in a coordination role

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be Canadian citizens, Permanent Residents, or able to show proof of the right to work in Canada
  • The candidates should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • The candidates should demonstrate adaptability to new technologies and tools and demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
  • The candidates should have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • The candidates should possess strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills
  • The candidates should have relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Cloud Administrator and previous aviation experience
  • The candidates should have experience in IT procurement, project coordination, vendor management, and IT Service Management practices and experience in managing server and network infrastructure
  • The candidates should have and maintain a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform Active Directory configuration and oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all servers (local and data center) to ensure optimal performance and reliability, including Hyper-V, Linux, O365, MS Office, HTML/CSS, MySQL, and SQL Server
  • The candidates should be able to manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points (Cisco, Sonic Firewalls, VPN, Satellite)
  • The candidates should be able to implement and monitor security measures to protect IT systems from cyber threats and ensure data integrity
  • The candidates should be able to have managed services experience, including NOC, SOC, SaaS, and IaaS and diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly to minimize downtime
  • The candidates should be able to develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to ensure data protection and business continuity
  • The candidates should be able to plan and execute system upgrades and patches to keep IT infrastructure up-to-date and secure
  • The candidates should be able to create and maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to provide technical support and training to staff, ensuring they can effectively use IT resources
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate with external vendors for the procurement, maintenance, and support of IT equipment and services
  • The candidates should be able to ensure IT operations comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, utilize PowerShell scripting and administer corporate software systems
