Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 2 years of experience operating a loader
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to operate and perform routine maintenance on their loader, including washing and cleaning the operator’s cab inside and out, greasing, refueling, changing oil and filters, and maintaining all fluid levels
- The candidates should be able to lift 55 lbs
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be safety-oriented, willing to work overtime and shifts when needed, including Saturdays
- The candidates should be able to work unsupervised and work well with others
- The candidates should have good communication skills
- The candidates should be mechanically inclined
- The candidates should have the ability to read survey markings
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate and fully train in the operations and capability of a front end wheel loader
- The candidates should be able to assist the plant operator with the daily operations and upkeep of the plant
- The candidates should be able to perform repair/maintenance on the plant under the direction of plant foreman or lead hand
- The candidates should be able to engage in considerable physical activity, including heavy lifting, bending, and twisting as necessary
- The candidates should be able to assist with a variety of job operations
- The candidates should be able to ensure the safety of company personnel, the community, and the environment
- The candidates should be able to complete daily equipment checklists, monitor and ensure accurate weights
- The candidates should be able to monitor material production within specifications
- The candidates should be able to ensure consistent feed to maintain a quality product
- The candidates should be able to create an atmosphere of teamwork
- The candidates should be able to seek out and implement Best Practices
- The candidates should be able to adhere to all company safety and environmental practices and policies – training provided
- The candidates should be able to contain all spills first and notify the proper authorities immediately thereafter (follow written procedure)
- The candidates should be able to update and maintain all equipment service records for any piece of equipment operated, keeping accurate and thorough records of the maintenance performed, the hours on the unit, date, time, etc.; complete proof of regular service may be required
