Salary: $34.10 hourly for 40 to 44 hours per week

Transportation information: Valid Driver’s License and Willing To Travel For Extended Periods
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
Transportation/travel experience:Â Long-Haul and Provincial/Territorial
Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook
Type of trucking and equipment: Dry bulk
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials:Â AZ Class License and Driver’s License (Class 1 Or A)
Security and safety:Â Basic Security Clearance, Bondable, Driver’s Validity License Check, and Drug Test
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, load and unload goods and obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
- The candidates should be able to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- The candidates should be able to perform emergency roadside repairs, perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- The candidates should be able to tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo and complete logbooks and reports
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
