Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment and Manufacturing and industrial plant
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Student status: Full time enrollment
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, have manual dexterity, and have hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, have attention to detail, and be able to bend, crouch, and kneel
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and be available for overtime as required
- The candidates should be physically capable of performing demanding tasks, work under pressure, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in environments with odours, hot conditions, and cold or refrigerated environments, as well as wet or damp conditions
- The candidates should be client-focused, flexible, reliable, and team players
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate food safety and handling skills, transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials, and measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
- The candidates should be able to remove filled containers from conveyors, manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers, and feed and unload processing machines
- The candidates should be able to check products and packaging for basic quality defects, assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties, and clean machines and immediate work areas
