Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to constantly lift, push, and pull patients on stretchers, requiring up to 35 lbs of push or pull force or greater, adapting to challenging environments that may affect ergonomics while transporting patients to and from planes and ambulances
- The candidates should be capable of loading and carrying equipment and patients weighing between 10 to 50 lbs, and occasionally exceeding 50 lbs, completing tasks with urgency due to the critical nature of the work
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, and work in awkward or cramped positions, as well as bend, kneel, and stretch to provide effective patient care
- The candidates should be able to manage the lack of control over work pace and respond effectively to the dynamic environment of emergency medical transport
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should maintain visual concentration to prepare medications, monitor equipment, and assess patient conditions during in-flight transport, all while adhering to strict time pressures for life-saving interventions
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide direct patient care, including advanced assessment and intervention for a diverse range of medical and traumatic conditions, serving patients from newborns to the elderly
- The candidates should be able to apply critical thinking and professional judgment within their scope of practice, adhering to a medical control system and written protocols while consulting with a physician
- The candidates should be able to promote and uphold quality and safety standards in all aspects of patient care
