Salary: $21.97 to $22.46 hourly (To be negotiated) for 75 hours bi-weekly

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, and Health Care Aide Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Immunization records, Vulnerable sector check, Tuberculosis test, and Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure while handling repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks with attention to detail and stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing and walking and perform bending, crouching and kneeling tasks
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should focus on clients, be dependable, and demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidate should be flexible, take initiative, and have interpersonal awareness
- The candidate should use good judgment, be organized, and be reliable
- The candidate should be a team player and have patience
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
- The candidates should be able to supply and empty bed pans, take patients’ blood pressure, temperature and pulse, and serve meal trays and feed patients
- The candidates should be able to weigh, lift, turn and position patients, make beds and maintain patients’ rooms, and supervise patients’ exercise routines
- The candidates should be able to maintain inventory of supplies, bathe, dress and groom patients, and transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
- The candidates should be able to answer call signals to determine patients’ needs, collect specimens, and administer first aid in emergency situations
- The candidates should be able to provide personal care, provide companionship, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, administer bedside and personal care, and feed or assist in feeding
