Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of High School Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have three to five years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have flexibility to work various shifts and overtime

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have strong interpersonal, leadership, verbal and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills
  • The candidates should be self-directed and professional, with well-developed English communication skills verbal written and reading
  • The candidates should have computer proficiency in email and spreadsheets and be able to learn a variety of other software SAP and Kronos

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to plan manpower requirements for a department on a daily and weekly basis in order to achieve production volumes
  • The candidates should be able to take ownership for product quality and standards, and yield and efficiency targets
  • The candidates should be able to direct employees in the operation of plant equipment to meet quality, efficiency, and yield standards, as well as HACCP and sanitation procedures
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the health and safety of employees in accordance with established safe work procedures, company policies and applicable provincial legislation
  • The candidates should be able to prepare production and progress reports
  • The candidates should be able to oversee and document all plant Health and Safety, Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Sanitation issues
  • The candidates should be able to provide leadership by instilling team goals and objectives
  • The candidates should be able to foster a positive employee relations culture by treating all employees with respect, listening to their concerns, and providing a timely response
  • The candidates should be able to develop, direct, manage, train, and motivate employees by communicating job expectations, appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in conjunction with the Human Resources Department
