Salary: $38.00 hourly for 35 to 44 hours per week

Location: Sutton, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Shift, Morning
Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged and Long term care
Supervision: 11-15 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Ensure infection control and Geriatrics
Credentials: First Aid Certificate and Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, and Immunization records

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and be capable of working under pressure
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be accurate and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrate flexibility
  • The candidates should exhibit initiative and be organized
  • The candidates should be team players and have good time management skills

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions, assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, and provide nursing care
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families, and supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
  • The candidates should be able to deliver immunization programs, dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment, and perform administrative tasks
