Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Construction specialization: Residential
Equipment and machinery experience: Curbing machine, Mortar and concrete mixers, Chippers, Jackhammers, Air guns, Nail guns, Drills, Torches, Chain saw, Sandblasters, and Sledgehammer
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Hard hat, Gloves, and Cellular phone
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform physically demanding tasks, meet tight deadlines
• The candidates should be able to demonstrate manual dexterity, handle repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads
• The candidates should be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to show flexibility in tasks, demonstrate reliability, work effectively as a team player
• The candidates should be client focus, demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to load, unload and transport construction materials, erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades
• The candidates should be able to mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, help the medical examiner in charge
• The candidates should be able to assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
• The candidates should be able to level earth to fine grade specifications, assist in demolishing buildings, clean and pile salvaged materials
• The candidates should be able to perform routine maintenance work, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• The candidates should be able to tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
