Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of current registration with a Canadian registered nursing regulatory authority, ensuring compliance with professional standards
Experience: Candidates should have supervisory experience leading a team in health care, demonstrating their ability to manage and guide staff effectively
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work shifts and handle exposure to animals, latex products, second-hand smoke from residents, and perform heavy lifting and bending as required by the job
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have recently applied knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques, ideally acquired through work experience with seniors, adults, and children, preferably in a long-term care environment
- The candidates should be dedicated to providing the highest standard of resident care, showing excellent clinical and assessment skills and a genuine desire to work with residents in long-term care
- The candidates should have strong leadership skills with the ability to work with and lead a variety of disciplines in a team atmosphere, ensuring cohesive and effective care
- The candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills, enabling them to handle various situations and maintain positive relationships
- The candidates should have effective oral and written communication skills, crucial for clear and accurate reporting and interaction
- The candidates should have excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and ensure smooth operations
- The candidates should have completed TB screening, hold a Vulnerable Sector RCMP security clearance, CPR Level HCP (completed within the last 18 months), Food Safe Level 1, Transportation Dangerous Goods, WHMIS 2015, and possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- The candidates should have current registration with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association, confirming their active professional status
