Salary: $17.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 70 to 110 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, On Call, Early Morning, Morning, 07:00 to 19:00
Work setting: Urban area, various locations, rural area, and construction site
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Shingled roofs
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and ear plugs
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, at heights safely, and in noisy environments
- The candidates should be prepared for potentially dangerous conditions, dusty environments, and hot working conditions
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines. They should also be capable of handling physically demanding tasks, including weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs), and be comfortable with repetitive tasks
- The candidates should possess manual dexterity, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and show hand-eye coordination. They should be willing to work overtime as required and handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs), 13.5 kg (30 lbs), 23 kg (50 lbs), and 45 kg (100 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling, handle heavy loads, and work in environments that require physical endurance
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate in their work, have a strong client focus, and be dependable. They should also possess efficient interpersonal skills, demonstrate excellent oral communication, and be reliable
- The candidates should be flexible, a team player, and hardworking
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials, erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
- The candidate should be able to perform routine maintenance work, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, and install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
