Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have industry experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be highly motivated, with demonstrated teamwork abilities and willing to work 12-hour shifts, with a rotation of day or night
  • The candidates should be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made; seeking any required work permits, visas, or other authorizations is the sole responsibility of the candidates applying for this position
  • The candidates should be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations; please refer to the Transport Canada site for more details

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess the following licenses: Stationary Plant Operator Class 2, A, or B

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to handle the monitoring, operating, and servicing of the Powerhouse boiler room equipment and related systems, including running repairs and minor maintenance
  • The candidates should be able to perform other related duties and operate and maintain centrifugal chillers (370/650/950 tons)
  • The candidates should be able to service HTHW boilers (90,000,000 BTU x 2, 45,000,000 BTU x 2)
  • The candidates should be able to manage steam generators (x 4), operate air compressors (2,100 CFM) and maintain HVAC systems
  • The candidates should be able to work with Appoge EMS control, Trane, Viking, Siemens, and other related systems
