Salary: $24.00 to $40.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 44 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to obtain information and prepare reports or case histories
  • The candidates should be able to appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services
  • The candidates should be able to implement life skills workshops and conduct follow-up assessments
  • The candidates should be able to develop, coordinate, and implement the delivery of specific services within the community
  • The candidates should be able to provide suicide and crisis intervention, resolve conflict situations, and supervise activities of clients living in group homes and halfway houses.
  • The candidates should be able to supervise children’s visits with parents to ensure their safety
  • The candidates should be able to assist offenders in pre-release and release planning, implement substance abuse treatment programs, and implement behavior management programs
  • The candidates should be able to establish a registry of special needs support workers and liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
  • The candidates should be able to develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures, maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research, and assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs
  • The candidates should be able to assist clients/guests with special needs, accompany clients to appointments and social outings, evaluate offenders’ progress, develop specialized rehabilitation programs, assess offenders’ prospects for successful reintegration into the community, and plan rehabilitation programs with offenders, establishing rules of conduct, goals, and objectives
