Position: Tandem truck driver
No of Vacancies: 1
Salary: $23.00 to $28.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Day, Overtime, 08:00 to 18:30
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Urban area, various locations, construction site
Documentation knowledge: inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Dump truck
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone
Credentials: Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles), Air Brakes Endorsement
Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability and be organized team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform pre-operational inspection and preventive maintenance
- The candidates should be able to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections while overseeing all aspects of the vehicle
