Salary: $24.50 hourly for 40 to 60 hours per week
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel for extended periods, and Willing to travel overnight
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Type of trucking and equipment: Flatbed, and Tow truck
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment:Â
Credentials: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Driver’s validity licence check, and Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be attentive to detail and proficient in weight handling
- The candidates should be capable of sitting for extended periods and able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be proficient in efficient interpersonal skills and adept at excellent oral communication
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their approach and exhibit sound judgement in decision-making
- The candidates should be organized in their work approach and reliable in fulfilling their responsibilities
- The candidates should be effective team players

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate professionalism in customer service
- The candidates should be able to drive lighter, special purpose trucks
- The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- The candidates should be able to perform emergency roadside repairs
- The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
- The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch
