Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: AZ class license

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail and handle heavy loads
  • The candidates should be able to meet physically demanding requirements

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, load and unload goods, and operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • The candidates should be able to oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, perform brake adjustments, and perform emergency roadside repairs
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, perform preventive maintenance, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • The candidates should be able to tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo and transport and handle dangerous goods
