Transportation information: Travel expenses paid by employer, Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, and Willing to travel overnight
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Bill of lading, Dangerous goods occurrence reports, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trans-border documentation, and Trip reports
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Transportation/travel experience: International, Local, Long-haul, National, Provincial/territorial, Regional, Short-haul
Security and safety: Valid passport, Basic security clearance, Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be attentive to detail, skilled in handling heavy loads, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to manage a large workload, handle repetitive tasks, and be willing to work overtime as required
- The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods, proficient in weight handling, and handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, be flexible in adapting to various tasks, and be organized in their approach to work

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns, demonstrate professionalism in customer service, and coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
- The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, and load and unload goods
- The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform brake adjustments
- The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, oversee all aspects of the vehicle, and perform preventive maintenance
- The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo
- The candidates should be able to transport and handle dangerous goods
