Salary: $15.60 to $16.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 21 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks
• The candidates should have attention to detail and be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and working under tight deadlines

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and excellent oral and written communication
• The candidates should exhibit flexibility, show initiative, and be organized and reliable team players who demonstrate dependability while upholding values and ethics

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages, present bills to customers, and accept payment in various forms including cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques, or room billings
• The candidates should be able to describe menu items, including daily specials, enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages, serve food and beverages, take orders, and relay to kitchen and bar staff
• The candidates should be able to provide customer service, stock linen closets, pick up debris, empty trash containers, handle and report lost and found items, dust furniture, distribute clean towels and toiletries, attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items, make beds, change sheets, provide basic information on facilities, sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
