Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have Post-Secondary education in recreation/leisure studies, or another related program (preferred)
Experience: Candidates should have experience in programming and planning for seniors in a recreational environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be an energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elders
- The candidates should possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong computer skills
- The candidates should have current First Aid & CPR certification, which is required
- The candidates should be able to provide a clear criminal record check upon hire
- The candidates should have a passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to collaborate with each client to assess their engagement in meaningful activities across the six dimensions of wellness: Physical, Social, Intellectual, Vocational, Emotional, and Spiritual
- The candidate should be able to assist each client in achieving their wellness goals and contribute to defining strategies for reaching those goals
- The candidate should be able to develop, analyze, and review client-directed individualized and community-wide programs
- The candidate should be able to foster partnerships with local businesses and community groups to facilitate program development
- The candidate should be able to manage the Harmony Program technology to enhance communication with clients and staff
- The candidate should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the resident-directed Philosophy of Service
- The candidate should be able to evaluate the Harmony Program to ensure it meets clients’ needs and expectations while upholding established program expectations
- The candidate should be able to Collaborate with the Harmony & Wellness team, the candidate should be able to develop a plan for full-scope wellness programming in the Hospitality & Wellness, Assisted Living, and Memory Care service lines
