Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of 12 school grade including business subjects with emphasis on word and information processing
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 4 years progressively responsible, diversified administrative experience in a fast-paced, highly political office setting dealing with upper management
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be highly self-motivated and capable of producing quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to identify enhancements and recommend modifications to systems, policies, and procedures
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have demonstrated computer competency, including advanced skills and experience in Google applications and knowledge
- The candidates should have the ability to gain proficient experience using city systems such as Posse, ARIBA, SAP and PeopleSoft
- The candidates should have knowledge of FOIP legislation and the ability to process FOIP requests in conjunction with the FOIP office
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to deal with politically sensitive issues and confidential information with a high degree of judgment and discretion and familiar with the City’s policies, procedures, and formats
- The candidates should possess exceptional prioritization skills, including the ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions
- The candidates should have excellent organization skills with exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The candidates should have a clear understanding of the Department and Branch’s position on various sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality
- The candidates should have previous supervisory experience, including staff performance management and delegation of duties
- The candidates should have experience working with management positions, with the ability to maintain and influence relationships without having a formal level of authority over others
- The candidates should have completed an appropriate administrative professional certificate program from an accredited business school or college
