Salary: $20.20 to $28.50 hourly (To be negotiated) for 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: Day

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Immunization records, Vulnerable sector check

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and reliability in their work, possessing efficient interpersonal skills and adeptness at building positive relationships with colleagues and clients
  • The candidates should exhibit flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances and demonstrate awareness of interpersonal dynamics, while also being team players committed to upholding values and ethics in the workplace

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, while also encouraging children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, maintain daycare equipment, and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
  • The candidates should have knowledge of the Day Nurseries Act, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
