Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate attention to detail and ensure accuracy in their work

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have customer service experience with the ability to meet customer needs and expectations
  • The candidates should have prior experience in golf course operations, with experience in a pro shop
  • The candidates should have experience working in a retail environment and possess verbal communication skills to effectively interact with the general public, even in challenging situations
  • The candidates should have interpersonal skills to collaborate in a team environment and maintain effective working relationships with staff and stakeholders
  • The candidates should have proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Email, and Internet searches
  • The candidates should have knowledge of the game of golf and an understanding of its rules

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to deliver customer service to citizens over the phone and in-person on a daily basis
  • The candidates should be able to perform Pro Shop administrative duties, including receiving reservations for tee times and golf tournaments, merchandising, record keeping, and inventory control
  • The candidates should be able to perform cashier duties, including the use of credit and debit card terminals, and operate the POS system on a daily basis, sell merchandise and assist other golf course staff
  • The candidates should be able to perform duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, maintaining washrooms, cleaning around the clubhouse, and power cart maintenance
