Work setting: Employer’s home, Urban area, Work in employer’s/client’s home, Relocation costs covered by employer, and Willing to relocate
Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children, and School age (6 – 12 years)
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Kikuyu, Swahili, and Konkani
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Experience with special needs children: Children with Down syndrome
Child Abuse Registry check: Child welfare check, and Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking and willing to work overtime as required
- The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks and able to work effectively under pressure
- The candidates should be able to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their approach to tasks and situations, and show initiative in problem-solving and task completion
- The candidates should exercise good judgment in decision-making processes and be organized in their work approach
- The candidates should be reliable in fulfilling their duties and be team players, able to collaborate effectively with others

- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and travel with the family on trips to assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, prepare infants and children for rest periods, and supervise and care for children
- The candidates should be able to take children to and from school and to appointments, tend to the emotional well-being of children, and help children with homework
