Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

- The candidates should have experience in geotechnical, pavement, and materials investigations for construction and research projects
- The candidates should have experience in geotechnical design methods related to the construction, maintenance, and preservation of highways and civil projects
- The candidates should have experience preparing technical documents, including geotechnical reports, design and construction standards, engineering manuals, test methods standards, and contract specifications
- The candidates should have experience in managing and overseeing project activities, including planning, design, scheduling, and preparing documentation in support of projects
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment and possess effective interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- The candidates should have strong verbal communication skills and strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- The candidates should have demonstrated ability to learn and work proficiently with appropriate industry software tools and technology to successfully complete assignments and projects and a master’s degree specializing in geotechnical engineering
- The candidates should have experience in the analysis and design of drainage works, including the hydraulic design of culverts, channels, drainage ditches, and erosion control measures
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to report to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer and perform engineering activities from planning through preliminary design, detailed design, and construction
- The candidates should be able to provide specialized engineering advice and technical guidance, oversee geotechnical and drainage investigations
- The candidates should be able to perform engineering analysis and design for the construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of highways and related transportation infrastructure
- The candidates should be able to conduct product evaluations, develop specifications, prepare and present technical reports, conduct seminars, and provide technical guidance to department staff
