Salary: $32.42 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Victoria, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning
Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer, hotel, motel, resort
Supervision: Cook (general)

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Food Safety Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be capable of handling heavy loads
  • The candidates should be physically capable of meeting demands and able to stand for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate client focus and have excellent oral communication skills

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, inspect kitchens and food service areas, and train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • The candidates should be able to order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and manage kitchen operations
