- The candidates should exhibit excellent business development techniques and be conversant with small business legal structures and life cycles, competitor offerings, and alternate sources of financing
- The candidates should be strong relationship builders and communicators, enjoying meeting people and proficiently collaborating with others
- The candidates should have good organizational skills and be flexible to adapt to a constantly changing environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a results-oriented attitude and have sound knowledge of the small business market, including the features and benefits of small business products and services
- The candidates should demonstrate an understanding of financial statements, applicable risk management policies, and legal and security documentation for small business products
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to be customer-centric and connect with people in a relatable way
- The candidates should be able to, as an essential member of the Canadian Banking Branch network, focus on providing exceptional service throughout the customer’s journey by managing an assigned portfolio of high-value and/or complex small business owner relationships to achieve retention and other negotiated goals while meeting Scotiabank’s Service Standard
- The candidates should be able to independently and remotely focus on deepening and expanding existing assigned customer relationships. This includes remotely assessing customer needs, making appropriate recommendations, completing the required product applications, and providing ongoing service to these accounts as needed
- The candidates should be able to proactively engage with new and existing clients to build strong, ongoing relationships and provide comprehensive advice, enabling them to build successful businesses
- The candidates should be able to partner with fellow advisors to create a customer-centric environment and will work within a Virtual Small Business team as a dedicated virtual advisor for Small Business clients in Canada and must be flexible for different shifts should the need arise
