Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics and business administration
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in warehouse management or logistics
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have proven experience in running a Kanban system, with a strong understanding of Lean and Just-In-Time methodologies
- The candidates should have experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems (preferred)
- The candidates should demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills and possess excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- The candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
- The candidates should be proficient in data analysis and capable of making data-driven decisions
- The candidates should have knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods and ensure warehouse operations run efficiently, optimizing space, equipment, and labor resources
- The candidates should be able to maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety standards and maintain a Kanban system to control inventory levels and ensure smooth material flow
- The candidates should be able to monitor Kanban signals to initiate replenishment processes and prevent stockouts or overstocking and collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to align Kanban processes with demand forecasts
- The candidates should be able to ensure accurate and real-time tracking of inventory levels using warehouse management systems and conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and improve inventory accuracy
- The candidates should be able to develop strategies to reduce inventory holding costs while ensuring material availability and lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to ensure high performance and adherence to standard operating procedures
- The candidates should be able to foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation in logistics processes and systems and allocate workloads and manage staffing schedules to ensure efficient operations during peak and off-peak times
- The candidates should be able to set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse efficiency, such as order fulfillment rates, cycle times, and inventory turnover
- The candidates should be able to provide regular reports on warehouse performance, highlighting successes and areas for improvement
- The candidates should be able to liaise with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and maintain strong relationships with vendors to support just-in-time delivery strategies
- The candidates should be able to lead initiatives to improve warehouse processes through Lean methodologies, focusing on Kanban and Just-In-Time principles and stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices in warehouse management and logistics
